Rearing

Stable Erve Rutbeek offers breed during both summer and winter for young mare’s and stallions. The foals can be brought after “afspenen” of the mare. Ofcourse is there the possiblity to bring the horses on a later age (yearling or two years old). The young horses will be raised naturally in groups so they can socially develop.

summer season

In the summer season the horses are located groupswise in the grassland. The grasslands are divided in different percels so that the horses can be switched from location every now and then. This way the horses are positioned in a new and fresh grassland and the old grassland gets time to recover. The mare’s and stallions are seperated with horses of the same age in groups of max 15 horses.

Winter season

During the winter season the horses are located in the stables. The mere’s and stallions are seperated with horses of the same age in groups of max 10 horses to ensure a good overview. The horses on stable can eat limitless hay and get pelletted food in the morning and evening. The horses go outside multiple times a day in a paddock so they can take a walk.

The horses get a worm cure and hoof cut during both summer and winter. There is also an option to let us raise your foal and redeliver it when it turns three years old. We also deliver your horse pregnant or “zadelmak” after the “opfok”
